Free DeductionPro From H&R Block
This is a useful program that normally retails for about $20 at stores such as Circuit City or Best Buy. This is a download link that was provided to those who purchased MS Money but the download is available to the public.

Software description: "DeductionPro helps you identify and maximize your deductions. It makes it easy to track both your cash and non-cash contributions during the year, so you get the most from your deductions. New features help you easily find the true fair-market values for more of the non-cash items you donate. Charitable deductions can include both cash and non-cash items, out-of-pocket expenses and even mileage."

This software is useful only if you itemize your deductions. You can use it to track all donations, but I think the real usefulness is in assigning fair-market values for non-cash donated items. You could use it for your 2005 donations (if you have records of what you donated), or use it to track and establish values as you donate stuff in 2006, print summary reports, and enter them on next year's taxes.


GAP Sale In Stores
Just a heads up that GAP stores are having a sale right now. Many jeans are available for about $20, men's shirts for $20, women's camis for about $8...those are the prices at my store at least. Check it out if you like GAP or if you like inexpensive clothes. :}

Sadly, these stores are closing down and I've shopped at them several times in the past.
